How to Avoid Windows 7 End-of-Life Pop-ups

Previously I wrote about how Windows 7 will end extended support in January of 2020. If you still have Windows 7 and keep your updates current, you will very likely start to see this pop-up in the coming weeks.

The Windows 10 rollout saw users being forced to deal with constant nagging pop-ups and forced operating system upgrades. Microsoft seems to be taking a much quieter approach to the upcoming retirement of its decade old operating system and is giving you the option to turn this nagging pop-up off.

By selecting the “Do not remind me again” checkbox in the bottom left corner of the pop-up, you should be able to avoid further interruption until you decide to perform the upgrade. As always, I am more than happy to help out, and if you would like to discuss options or need advice on what to do to upgrade your system, let’s chat.
